Politics

Human beings hve developed science and thenical knowlege to automate. every task. There’s enough for everyone, and saying otherwise is being is to be lazy or to lie. It’s fake scarcity, and the scarcity is by design.

In the United states, we have two major political parties. We’ve had these parties for generations. There’s Democrats, and there’s Republicans.

We’ve learned that the Democrats are the “Liberals” and Republicans are “Conservatives.”

Ha!

Did you ever hear of the “Democratic-Republican” party? It was a thing from 1792-1825. Reading into it; it seams like ole’ grampy version of our two modern political parties. The party was visionary, and represented a lot of opposing viewpoints. When this mega-party was dissolved, we got a two party system.

It didn’t even last 40 years, but we’ve been stuck with the two parties since the Democratic-Republic party dissolved. To me, it feels like rich people deciding what’s good for us. Well, the rich people ensorse this big party, but it’s too inclusive… let’s split into two parties and take turns thrashing people until they have no idea it’s all one scam!

People are silly, and they have a tendency to love tribalistic behaviors. We are proper “people” those who dress differently, talk different, say different things: you are the stranger. I am chosen to be happy. You are not. Do what I do, or get out.

It’s quite brilliant, but it’s innapropriate when our lives and future are at stake. If we don’t transform our energy economy, we’re going to destroy our planet. If we can’t learn to look after one another to prevent our literal destruction, we will destroy ourselves.

It’s not too complicated. We need to make sure everyone has what they need to live happily and we need to produce the next generation. Life isn’t too complicated. We need a good meal, a safe place to sleep, and the freedom to be happy and persue our best life.

I’ve worked my whole adult life, I have two kids, and I can count on having a place to sleep and a meal to eat. I’ve done well.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of folks that do not have it as good. Most of a whole generation is silently passing on the “American Dream,” as their reproductive years wane. It’s not right. We’re going to create the exact problem China created with their “One Child” policy, but it will be of our own failure to look after the great balance of it all.

Things have not been okay for a long time. There’s always going to be winners and losers, but it’s not okay to set the bar so high that people just give up. College is great, but it has never been the solution to preparing our youth for success. Success is really just a big ole’ gamble,

People argue about “affirmative action,” “DEI,” immigration, etc, but that’s all about distracting us from the plain truth. A healthy society can take care of all people, but that’s not profitible. To be profitible means being controlled by a small number of people. Who get’s to be influencial? Who gets to set the tone?

People argue with one another on the internet until they’re blue in the face, but who profits? Who’s doing great? A small number of lucky people who don’t need to worry about getting by financially. They have the privilege to be depressed in our society without the pressure of cash-based distress!

It’s all a scam. In actuality, we are all human beings with roughly the same amount of personal power. Any advantage affored to one person over another is a consequence of a game that people play whether they want to or not: society. It’s not fair to tabulate a persons’ value over another, but this happens all the time, and we are hardened in our hearts against the plight of our fellow man.

I never decided to be born, American, a Man, etc. I’ve had to work towards goals in life in order to meet unstated expectations to fit roles that were thrust upon me. A basic human need is so-called “self-actualization,” but society dictates how capable we are of achieving this basic human need.

I feel like Politics is the antithesis of “self-actualization.” If society were all bout advancing the case of all people, we’d be a lot happier. Creating opportunities for everyone. Protecting the well-being of everyone. Defending the rights of everyone. Aside from the profit, portfolios, grants, budgets, etc, we are human beings.

Life is too short to spend it looking after monopoly money and doing work that could be done by machines. Sure. However, we’ll never feel the benefit of these advancements if we let profit and politics drive decision making about who we protect in society. Unfortunately, the system we’ve spent hundreds of years investing in is too old. too entrenched in its ways.

If feel like humans needs alien-life level intervention at this point. We need to be humbled. Otherwise, we’ll keep ruining our planet until it’s all used up and barren. I have faith in our future generations. I hope they learn to do better, make kinder policy, and see the potential of the human spirit. I just wish to afford to live in a house I own, have a couple more kids, and trust that the things will be alright.

That’s my politics.
